The Little Farmers Trail

Enjoy a day on the farm with the whole family! Meet our farm animals, take part in some exclusive experiences, outdoor hunts, games and more. There's something for all ages whether your crazy about lambs, love to stoke Nancy the donkey or want to get up close with our cheeky goats.

Admission includes access to our play barn, complete with a large indoor sandpit and a tike course!

Our award-wining butchery is the heart of everything we do! Explore our range of grass-fed beef, home-reared pork, locally soured lamb and chicken. The rest of the Farm Shop is packed full of award-winning Yorkshire Produce from our fresh Greengrocery, to the artisan deli, and home baked cakes, biscuits and treats! If we can't rear it, make it, or grow it ourselves we work with trusted local producers that way we can ensure it has been made with the highest standards and best possible ingredients. OUR STORY

Proud to Farm here in Yorkshire

W're Farmers first, 100% of the pork and most of the beef we sell at Blacker Hall Farm is farmed right here by us on our family farm! The Garthwaite Family have farmed here in Wakefield since 1901 and we're proud of our high welfare standard, grass fed, low food miles and traditional farming methods! If we can't rear it, grow it or make it ourselves we then work with other local trusted farmers and produces to bring you the very best produce from the area.
